Never fear, I changed my shoes ( eventually!). This is what I wore schlepping around. I have easily had these Eastland hiker's since the late 80's. I've put them in a give-a-way pile so many times only to drag em back out. They are so soft and have hiked many trails w/o blisters. I am wearing 2 skirts I shortened. I am really into the tropical prints and cut the bottom floral a bit longer to show the girlie flowers underneath.I really like this skirt and hope I did the right thing by cutting it! I have alteration phobia!
The ground is still wet and muddy and these boots did just fine!
Plus, who can resist a nutty cat lady with a straw purse!
I'm still practicing with my camera and trying to get better shots. Auto mode seems to make the clothes look washed out, and the self adjusted settings seem to make me look jaundiced, but the clothes are truer.
As most of you know, I want to be a photographer when I grow up!
I changed into peep-toe wedges, but not too high. My back thanked me for it!
Over-the-knee socks and a black vest rounded me out. I am also wearing a T-shirt waist band. Does anyone remember them from the late 80's? It was during the knotted side T days. I have one in black and gold.
I swear, I never throw stuff out anymore. It ALWAYS comes back around, or can be used differently.
However, My closets are bulging with this stuff. There are some things I will keep always, like a great bohemian garment, "classic" pieces like pumps and pearls and accessories from India. Always!
( And Vintage! )
Sassy !

I just love the skirts! I've never been brave enough to really try my hand at pattern mixing, but you've inspired me to give it a try!

hi darlin,
For the gif go to http://lunapic.com/editor/ and load your pics up into the slideshow tool. For it to actually work on your blog, you have to paste the html into your post, lunapic will give you that option once you create the slideshow. good luck.

You are so adorable. I love the cropped muumuu and I totally would have bought it, too. With those boots and that belt it is divine. And 75% off boots??? SCORE!
