Leapin' Leather

Hi Everybody!
Today is the day we have an extra day to blow off!
Though, I'm glad my birthday isn't on the 29th....
(Hey, 3 'days' in that first sentence)

I've been watching and loving a show I just found called
"How To Look Good Naked"
Why so smitten?
1) It's about real women with real bodies!
2) It's from Britain - nuf said...
3) The guy is so cool and he loves a great rack.
4) The women are pampered then take a nude photo.
I do think it may be off the air, as all I'm finding are older re-runs. This look would be a miss as my boobies are wider than my bottom. I can tell he's right by telling us to balance out our jumblies with wider skirts and pants. See above? But, since this is a non-day, this outfit won't count... If you notice my belt started up high, (too choppy) but settled in a comfortable place slung low as to elongate my torso. I just dropped 10 lbs! Especially since I can't walk with my legs really wide all day...
Yep, Granny still rocks...

Corporate Hippie

Hi everyone!
This dress came all the way from across the US-
Around 2000 miles....
My hubs bought it for me on our honeymoon in San Diego. I'd never get rid of it. He too has a small pile in his closet that will never go as well. His are daisy dukes from the late 70's and shrunken vintage concert tees, even a Bob Dylan. I've already ready raided his Cowboy Junkies. Time for Dylan, maybe?
I feel so grown up when I don a jacket...
I think everything can be brought up-to-date with a fitted jacket, cinched belt and shooties. Double up on the skirts, grab a tiny floral bag and wa-la! Shiny, new dress! (PS- I think Kasmira coined the word shootie for a shoe bootie!)

This little bag will only
hold my essentials:
1) license / credit cards
2) 2 lip sticks
3) ciggys/lighter
4) remote/lens cap (I loose then alot)
5) keys
which usually makes me a double bagger
(I put this cutie in my huge satchel-
I usually look like a shoplifter)

Hippie Hugs!

It's all about the Inside

Hi all!
I usually choose a coat that has something a bit funky
on the inside. Apparently, my neighbor Buddy does too!
Here's to a funky week!

A Taste of Vintage, A Drop of Trend - Mix Well, Enjoy!

Hi Everybody !
I'm kinda glad it is a bit cold still. I have a few great jackets and other things I've yet to wear this year! This riding jacket I bought late last spring. It's from a vintage shop here in Cincy called Rose's Tea Room. It is from the late 70's and in pristine condition. Mixing the old with new is fun and adds character to any outfit. Then, popping a vintage tie in the mix was a nice alternative to a necklace.
New shooties, peggings and layered tees are the 'new'.
An old vintage clip earring in my hair replaces the big earrings!
Speaking of old and new.....
I am so happy to hear from you and I'm still catching up, so I'll be visiting you all really soon! If I'm not very commenty this week, please forgive me. I am also redecorating my living room, painting my ceiling and da-da-da-dum.......
I'm getting a new sofa !!! Yipee !!!
These sunnies are from The Loudmouth, blogger extraordinaire, in honor of my mentor The Citizen Rosebud.
