SOME LIKE IT HOT !

AFTER WATCHING  "SOME LIKE IT HOT" , I COULDN'T HELP BUT THINK OF A DRESS I THRIFTED BACK IN THE SUMMER. A gentleman at the check-out said it reminded him of a 1920's style dress. So, what is there to do during a Blizzard ? Play dress - up !

This funny movie was made in 1959, but was based on the a couple of fellows who had to become women in 1929 ! You probably know the rest of the story, so I won't re-tell it, but instead of falling in love with Sugar's outfits (Marilyn Monroe) I fell for Josephine and Daphne's outfits! (Tony Curtis and Jack Lemmon). I gotta tell ya, Tony Curtis is a darn beautiful lady ! And what can you say about Jack Lemmon !

Being filmed on Catalina Island , two cross-dressing musicians and a whole lot of authentic clothing made my heart go pitter-patter!

TWO STYLISH LADIES.......

MEET

ONE HOT LADY !

WHO PLAYS THE UKULELE.

AND THE REST IS HISTORY !

I WAS AN EXTRA !

BOY DID WE LOVE TO DANCE !

AH, THE MEMORIES !

AND A TECHNICOLOR REMAKE.....

STILL DREAMS DO COME TRUE...

AND THE LADY GETS HER LADY IN THE END!

THE END.

Playing dress-up is fun ! Most of this outfit was thrifted,
including my pearl drop earrings.
After "the movie" I threw on a warm, ruffled cardi and
my favorite boots ! I kept the hat and faux fur collar, which I
pinned with a bow-shaped vintage pin.( The fur is small, so I
just pinned it around my neck.)
My dress style is more like an early 30's house dress.
It originally came from Dress Barn.

I also wanted to than you so much for all of your comments while I was away! It is so nice to know that there are people out there that really get me!! Thanks again for being so thoughtful and sweet!!
