BUTTONS,BUTTONS,BUTTONS! (a DIY project)

BUTTONS, BUTTONS, BUTTONS!

GOOFY
GRINS,
OH YEAH-
AND BUTTONS!

BUTTONS ON MY LEG WARMERS , TOO! I ALSO ADDED 3 BUTTONS TO THE TOP ARMS OF THE SWEATER, BUT AM CONSIDERING TAKING THEM OFF AND ADDING THEM TO THE WRIST, INSTEAD.

I LOVE THIS BUILDING! IT'S CALLED "cone zone".
An ice-cream parlor in my neighborhood.

MY COAT FOR THE DAY. VINTAGE AND THRIFTED.

NOT
SURE
WHY I
WAS SO
"GRINNY"!

BUTTONS ARE A CHEAP WAY TO EMBELLISH AND ADD COLOR TO
AN OTHERWISE "PLAIN" SWEATER. AND THEY AREN'T PERMANENT!

CLOSE-UP OF SWEATER, LEGS AND BUTTON EARRINGS, TOO!

THIS BUILDING IS SOOO COOL! AND IT MATCHES MY LEGS!

A SHOT TAKEN BY A KROGER EMPLOYEE. HE WAS SO NICE!

A CUTE DIET COKE FAN. LOVE HER BOOTS! I TOOK THIS WHILE GETTING PRE-SNOW SUPPLIES!

AN INSPIRATION FROM A WEARDROBE POST.

*Tip- know all those extra buttons you get with sweaters and coats? Save them! They are usually big and can be re-cycled. That's where all my buttons came from for my self-embellished sweater. Next stop- a jacket!

A COOL BUTTON NECKLACE FROM DELANCY ON WEARDROBE!

CLOSE-UP 2. THIS CARDI WAS THRIFTED FOR $3.24 AT TARGET. I GOT THE SET, BUT NEVER WORE THEM TOGETHER. I ADDED ALL MY EXTRA BUTTONS THAT WERE LYING AROUND TO GIVE THIS NEUTRAL A LOT OF POPS OF COLOR! A FEW PEOPLE TOLD ME MY LEG WARMERS WERE UPSIDE DOWN, BUT I WORE THEM THAT WAY ON PURPOSE TO SHOW OFF THE THEME. BUTTONS ARE AN EASY AND THRIFTY WAY TO EMBELLISH. THEY ARE "POPPING" ALL OVER!

This has probably happened to most bloggers sooner or later. I was "shooting" my outfit by this cool building, which I have eyed for a long time, when a man and his wife pulled up. He got out of his car--"what are you doing here?" As a stunned newbie ,I said "nothing". He then persisted on wanting to know why I'm taking pictures. Well, as you've guessed, He owned the building! He was afraid I had hit the place with my car and was taking photos for insurance purposes! After much apologies and letting him look at the photos if he wanted, he was relieved and very cool. The place is called Cone Zone, and serves ice cream all year round. They were really nice and said I could shoot here anytime! THANKS CONE ZONE! I'm gonna check out their ice-cream real soon , as I am an ice-cream junkie!

Love the buttons and leg warmers. So fun!

That's crazy about running into the building owners! That building does make a great background. I once got approached by a federal agent who asked to look at my pictures and made me relocate b/c I was shooting into the lobby of a federal building and capturing details of building security which is "what a terrorist would do." I just liked the location b/c it was near my office and they had pretty Christmas decorations outside!
