Hi everybody!
Happy green beer day! I swear I'll be a sportin' some green duds later,
but if I don't post my trip pics they get lost and blow away amidst the green shamrocks...
OK, I just can't keep it up. Here are a few photos from my trip back home to good old Kentucky, where bargains lurk at every corner. (I can't wait for yard sale season ;)
When I left, it was thick leggings and heavy knit hats and sweaters...
61/2 hours later, I'm there. Gah!
As the week went on, I dragged my poor Mom into cornfields for photos
and every thrift store we could find.
Moms are fun like that!
Then, off to the Sturgis Antique Mall, where Spring was definitely in the air...
pinks, yellows and lilac donned all the clothing booths.
Someday this will be mine... Oh,yes - it will be mine...
This little lady blew my mind, too!
There was just too friggin much to document, but boy did I try...
Plus, who wouldn't need one of these?
The temp. soon hit the 70's. So glad I brought all my heavy sweaters ;)
xXx

I love the red barn!! Great picture...you could publish a book of thrift store shots across America!
I just found your blog. I was drawn to it when I saw the Indiana sign. I live 3 hours north of Louisville. I loved your pictures. I love antique stores, but haven' really thrifted for clothes. Where are the good places in your area? Your outfits look great!!!!
What fantastic photos! thanks for taking us on your trip, Reva! I love the radio, that plaster head and the majorette's costume so much! xxx
Maryann,
I LOVE the thrift shops in Evansville, Goodwills and Salvation army - the Goodwill in Henderson is great and there is a consignment shop right across the street! Down US 60 in Sturgis, the CB Club (open Thurs-Sat)on Washington st. is a gem at only 50 Cents per item! The the antique mall of course. Just ask anyone, they all know where they are ;) Thanks for popppin by!
Lately, I've taken to nosing around the antique shops with DH and I have been amazed at some of the clothing items I've seen. Haven't bought much, but the wheels are definitely turning. You found some beautiful items.
