I Got the Blues (but in a good way!)

Hi everybody!
Another week is upon us and today is supposed to be the purr-fect day!
So, we will be hitting the trails asap (After Some Awakened Preparation)...

Yesterday, I felt very girly and realized this little peter pan collared dress has been hanging on my rack all summer. The last time I wore it, I paired it with a military jacket and browns. Lately, I've had a thing for heavy cloth belts and believe this one is an actual army one or an urban outfitter (who ever really knows anyway!)
My other obsession are cross-body leather bags. I luckily found a couple for a
dollar each the other day. Thank you, oh thrifty gods...

Pre-loved and Cheap are my kind of 'trends'....
Which, by the by, I have developed my new way to thrift, thanks to the conversations I was involved in last week. I now carry a LIST, and search for the items I really want/need, and not start grabbing stuff just because it's cheap!
Eureka! What a better and less hoardy concept!
Dress: Dot's
Leggings: Target
Belt:thrifted / Scarf: thrifted / Hat:thrifted
Bag: St. Vincent De Paul thrift shop
Shoes: Vintage Bass (mine from the way back machine)
Bangles: Dot's / Beads:JCPenny (old)

We're off to the woods soon,
So have a great week!
xXx

I love the fearless use of a very large scarf in this outfit.

I recently switched over to using a thrift list, but it had an unintended consequence- now I'm obsessed with finding a few items that are also selling retail. I'm about to buy them new just b/c I don't have the patience to wait out the thrift version.

That belt really makes the outfit, Reva. It looks great.
Good idea about the list. Maybe if I'd written one before I went car boting this morning I wouldn't have come back with such a bizarre collection of things! x

Love, love the scarf and the blues! I am NOT a very disciplined thrifter at this moment; I will dabble in that list-thing. : >

Really like the way that heavy belt pulls the whole outfit together.

Reva, I've had to give myself a SERIOUS talking to about my thrifting craziness. I see potential in everything it seems! Good for you to make a list! Hugs! ~Serene

Great styling here!! You look great as always...and a list is the way to go! I think it would really help....the only thing was in a 106 degree climate...the leggings made me cringe...I hope that goes away soon!

Love that little dress! I'm intrigued by your new way to thrift. I really might need to try that. My closet is bulging at the seems & I continue to thrift all the while griping because I have nothing to wear!

I am literally lusting after your red bag - I too have a terrible weakness for leather cross body bags and yours gives this lovely pre-fall outfit a real kick! Love the leggings and loafers with this cute dress - you really know how to transition into new seasons:)))) xoxoxo
