IN HONOR OF VINTAGE :)

HI EVERYBODY !
I HOPE YOU ALL HAD A GREAT WEEKEND :)  ~ I SURE DID ..........
I SPENT SATURDAY AFTERNOON WITH THE FABOO KASMIRA HITTING SOME THRIFT STORES. SHE WORE HER KICK-@SS HAWAIIAN PRINT "FUGLY"DRESS AND LEOPARD PRINT TIGHTS.
YOU'LL GET TO SEE MY THRIFTIES AS SOON AS THEY SIT IN THE FREEZING GARAGE FOR A COUPLE DAYS OR SO....... YES , I HAVE BED-BUG PHOBIA.
AND, THOUGH THIS MAY NOT SEEM LIKE A BIG DEAL TO MOST, I HIT THE BIG 100 THIS WEEKEND :)
OH THE PRESSURE!
I THANK THE VINTAGE VIXEN FOR HER WONDERFUL INTERVIEW AND THE CITIZEN ROSEBUD, WITHOUT WHOM I WOULD STILL HAVE A TRAVELING CIRCUS BLOG ;) YOU GUYS ROCK :)
THUS THE OMITTED "THEME MUSIC". NOW YOU HAVE A CHOICE,
(but does anyone ever really listen to the u-tube music ;)

BUT MOSTLY, I THANK ALL OF YOU ! A BIG HELLO TO MY NEW BLOG BUDDIES, NICE TO MEET YA!  AND I'M LOOKING FORWARD TO GETTING TO KNOW YOU ALL :)
IN HONOR OF MY GREAT WEEKEND, I PULLED OUT MY VINTAGE CASTLEBERRY  KNIT DRESS AND WORE MY MOM'S CHAIN BELT FROM THE EARLY 70'S. THE DRESS EVEN HAS THE ORIGINAL BELT, WHICH IS A RARE THING ;)  IT WAS ONE OF THE VERY FIRST THINGS I EVER THRIFTED, BUT I SOMEHOW KNEW IT WAS SPECIAL. Magic ??? I REALIZE THIS IS A TAME OUTFIT FOR ME, BUT THE DRESS SEEMED TO SPEAK FOR ITSELF, NO PROPS NECESSARY ;) ~ Boots: Banana Republic (gifty)
( This will probably one of the first things I try to sell when I get my shop going. Again the pressure! )
Unfortunately someone ripped off the size tag, but with vintage, size really doesn't mean a thing ;)

HAVE A GREAT WEEK !
xXx

Wonderful dress, and difficult to pull off as well as you do (you do not have pums and bumps he, he, he). Love the sunnies and adore the boots.
Congratulations on your 100 followers. Well done.

Reva, this dress is so lovely on you. Is that a new hair color? It looks so rich and lovely.

Congrats on your big 100. And thanks again for trying to send some of them my way as well.

What a beautiful dress! I love the color and the pattern. You have the perfect figure for a dress like this.

And congrats on reaching 100!

Congratulations on your 100!! you look just beautiful and glowing in that dress and color. it's so fun to see people take their style in an unexpected direction while still staying true to themselves. to me that's like the graduate degree of style : )

i saw your comment on style underdog re: a 40+ bloggers activity of some type. i left the following comment there, but am re-posting it here in case you don't run across it over there:
"re: 40+ 'activity' suggested by Retro Reva - i have no ideas (busy busy busy rite now). however i have been keeping track of all 40+ ers i find out about. i have a little blogroll at my site and there's more i'm researching. i'm thrilled to share this info so please pull it off my site &/or contact me for any i haven't put up yet so we can include as many as possible!"

Ms. Underdog was kind enuf to point out to me that there was no particular reason why you would see my comment in the location i had posted it (blushing @ wayward brain).

have a great evening!! steph

Lovely dress! Looks great with the books and chain belt.

Leaving the music but requiring ppl to turn it on (instead of off) is a GREAT idea! You always have great songs, but now they don't start blasting out of nowhere, startling the cats (and sometimes me)! But I can still listen to them! Yay!

I really love this look on you! It's probably so striking b/c in addition to being a great look, it is a bit unusual for you. Changing it up every once in a while is fun.
