Floppies and Florals

Hi everybody!
   I've been dying to wear these leggings and finally the weather permitted, well kinda ;).... I just can't resist rose patterns!
   Then last year I went floppy hat crazy and feel the need to at least wear one per week, as to get my money's worth, so this week it's the black one. I still have pink, purple,red and a neutral straw one.  So you've been warned :)

Now for my weekend update:

Target.com has boots on sale for $12.24 (and less) plus free shipping over $50.00 ! Since fall is just around the corner, it's a win-win, BUT, the stock is limited and the ones I really wanted are on back-order, and since they are clx. I really don't expect to get them. My fingers are crossed ;) I do like my boots ;)

I was asked by the infamous 'Anonymous' this week-end

 if I were really a woman! 

I honestly had to laugh as my night-sweats and bra issues are a constant reminder of my "femaleness"...

Lastly, I am still working on

a How-to Turban vlog, 

so don't give up on me...  

I'm having technical difficulties :)

I WORE THIS OUTFIT RIGHT BEFORE THE SNOW STORM, BUT SINCE IT WAS A FRIDAY, I ALREADY HAD MY BLACK FRIDAY OUTFIT A GO-GO :)
I COULDN'T PASS ON SHOWING THIS OUTFIT, ESPECIALLY FOR JOY, IN HONOR OF HER FLORAL TIGHTS :)  ~ TODAY I WILL BE BACK ON SCHEDULE ( or as close to one as I can be ;)

I THRIFTED THIS CORDUROY JACKET WHILE ON A THRIFT-DATE WITH THE LOVELY KASMIRA, fellow Cincinnati Blogger Extraordinaire. IT IS CUT TO GIVE ME A MUCH NEEDED WAIST AND IT HAS THE KILLER ELBOW PATCH. I HAD ALMOST FORGOTTEN TO SHOW MY ELBOW, AS I AM STILL LEARNING HOW TO HIDE THE TIMER ( well, kinda....)
And my new battery finally arrived , ( it was dying a slow, unfocused death ) , RIP old battery. I wonder if I can make something with it?... A Pendant, perhaps? Nah. Battery gunk all over my tops....

'Cause Cheap Is How I Feel

Ever meet someone who makes you think in broader strokes ? That's my Hubs. He introduced me to Cowboy Junkies years ago. Not to mention, Lucinda Williams and created my love for sub-titles and old black and white films. A couple days ago, as I was sneaking through his closet, I found an original concert T from the Junkies from the early 90's. The front says, 'Cause cheap is how I feel ' and it is way too small for him now. MY gain. I already know what skirt I will wear with it. It is faded and has a tiny hole and everything. I would be wearing it right now, but it has to drip dry first. Instead, I threw on a 90's dress (99 cents) and Rue 21 leggings (on clx.) plus my thrifted booties. "Cause Cheap is how I Roll " ;)

Sorry I look so down. I have been there for a few days. Not sure why. Good news is, it always turns around.

My outfit was inspired by Lucinda's Blues , and  getting my cow-girl on !  I  wore this hat to her concert in Knoxville ,TN in the beautiful Tennessee Historical Theater . I recently bought some floral leggings from Rue 21 and decided to layer them with a t-shirt night gown , tank, and cozy sweater. The necklace I made out of bits of old necklaces and a brass eyeglass necklace. I gotta say, I am Loving using my Canon Rebel ( thanks to Kasmira's photo tips and my resilience to keep on trying .  The first shots are in Auto mode ,  the more colorful ones are in custom mode 800 / 1000 ISO, shade setting . Thanks, Kasmira! ) The hat is from Target. The sweater was thrifted originally from the Limited.
