Hi all!

If you've noticed I have been wearing some new duds from Forever 21 lately. My hubby gave me a surprise gift card for our anniversary. He always listens to the oohs and ahhs... This outfit reminds me of Tribal Native America. I have some native blood in me (Cherokee), but would never be able to reproduce their glory. So I added a vintage hat and a misplaced fuzzy scarf. The weird thing is I like cowboy hats, too? Odd...

As I was looking back through last year's outfits, I have changed from the girly look to a more eclectic mix of strangeness. I am feeling a vintage need coming on - I suppose that's the fun of style, changing things up now and then. Plus, since I am a larger size this year, F21 doesn't fit the way it used to. Why don't they just make and xl and get it over with? Oh well, the shoes still fit ;)

(Actually it all did except for the dresses) 

Beware! A Large isn't a large in F21 land...

Blowing Through the Cobwebs of my Mind

Hi everybody!!!
    Never trust the weather guy this time of the year. It was supposed to hit 70, but barely made it above 60. I'm not complaining, as layering is my favorite form of dress! Slipping a Mossimo thermal tee and DIY infinity scarf made the day perfect. I just cut the arm/neck section off an old sweater to make the scarf. So simple. I just let the top end go... I'm crazy lazy like that.

The pendant is also a DIY, using a safety pin to hold the rather large shell on.

God, I love this time of year!

I can't really describe it. My mind seems clearer and my senses are on overload!

I even like the smell of the dead, wet leaves...

Even the poison oak is turning

Floppies and Florals

Hi everybody!
   I've been dying to wear these leggings and finally the weather permitted, well kinda ;).... I just can't resist rose patterns!
   Then last year I went floppy hat crazy and feel the need to at least wear one per week, as to get my money's worth, so this week it's the black one. I still have pink, purple,red and a neutral straw one.  So you've been warned :)

Now for my weekend update:

Target.com has boots on sale for $12.24 (and less) plus free shipping over $50.00 ! Since fall is just around the corner, it's a win-win, BUT, the stock is limited and the ones I really wanted are on back-order, and since they are clx. I really don't expect to get them. My fingers are crossed ;) I do like my boots ;)

I was asked by the infamous 'Anonymous' this week-end

 if I were really a woman! 

I honestly had to laugh as my night-sweats and bra issues are a constant reminder of my "femaleness"...

Lastly, I am still working on

a How-to Turban vlog, 

so don't give up on me...  

I'm having technical difficulties :)

Getting Carded Backwards / Plus No More Music !

OK, so it was cool to still get carded in my late 20's and early 30's. It was flattering, though I never seemed to get carded when I was underage ?  ~  But after a while I started noticing that it never happened anymore. OK.  Then comes the day when a  little boy at the grocery called me ma'am. Well, he was probably in his 20's,  but you get the overall feeling of the moment ;)  ~  Meanwhile, my hubs shaves his face and still gets carded.........

THEN, it happens.........

I even had on a peter-pan collar, for God's sake ;)

I usually don't do the high-waist belt look, but gave it a try. Usually I appear preggers or my boobs seem gigantic. I did feel a bit "little-girlsy" in this dress, which made me need to twirl, but the heaviness of the jacket gave it somewhat of a balance, plus I was only running errands anyway :)

Apparently the guy at Goodwill didn't see the little girl in me ;) ~ He wasn't looking hard enough !
