There's never any reason to be a Plain Jane.
(Unless that's what you're going for it - as in minimalism)....
I buy lots of basics and neutrals just for the reason to advertise my accessories. From the top of my head to the tip of my feet,
I love to make my basics into works of personal style.
For my Soul Style,
I have also been reading a cool book called "The Dark Side of the Light Chasers" by Debbie Ford. It helps me embrace my 'dark side' so that I can fully appreciate my true nature. I believe it is vital to help me cope with things from everyday nonsense to the really big stuff, like my Parent's illnesses. It also guides me to accept the anger, guilt and frustration, and realize it is a normal part of human nature. This has been one of the tools I've been using to grow into a more wise, healthy woman;) I highly recommend it. You will gain the power to spank your inner moppet, then hug her ;)
Have a great day x two and-
Hug your inner Moppet for me!

Thank you for this great post!I wish I can find the book, it's really something I'm constantly working on, embracing the different parts of your personality is a challenge and sometimes we prefer not to explore our darkest thoughts. As a painter I try to cope daily with myself, but it's not always an easy journey!
Your photoshoot gives me a lot of positive vibes and I love how you styled a classic outfit with the double shirts and the beautiful jewels!
You rock!

The book you spoke about sounds interesting, I particularly like the quote you used - "Everyone is you, and you are always talking to yourself." I wish more people took this on board xx
Fab post! You are an inspiration.
xxxx
Reva, you just make me smile so big and that is our best accesory! This is a fun look and made even more fun by your joy!! Have a great day!!
Good strategy. You're going to be just fine. What doesn't kill you...I will not let Kelly Clarkson highjack Nietzsche.
Always lovely to see you so positive and upbeat and to hear your words of wisdom.
Some people ask how I cope with all the crap I've dealt with over the past 3 years and I tell them, you don't get a choice, it's happened and you deal with it. No point whinging, gnashing your teeth and saying "why me?". What doesn't kill us makes us stronger! xxxx
It shows that you are a wise healthy woman!
Handle your business as best you can and forgive yourself when you are not perfect. Here's the thing: You will not get another opportunity. It sounds like you are really facing stuff head on.
I totally agree about accessories. Sometimes my clothes are literally just the background for all my bling!
Becky :)
Basiscs are brilliant for letting your accessories shine! love basic clothes, you can dress them up so easily with a nice pair of killer shoes or a great bag...
oh my gosh those photos are awesome!!!
Ah Reva, just what I come to expect: Fun, Cool Style and Sage Wisdom. I love the look on your face, your outfit and your dark/light wisdom. Thank you for posting! xo.
Really cute outfit.
Ooh, love everything about this. The words, the ensemble, and the beautiful YOU! :D I think this has to be one of my favorites; I am obsessed with that HUGE turquoise pendant! AHHHHHH! I can't stop looking at all of your fabulousness! XO
You are a wise one!
I think that i am for the moment is one thoose plain Jane minimalism girls ....
Look at all those fabulous pendants! Wonderful photos.
I wonder why we humans have such difficulty with the "dark side". Anger, guilt, frustration, sadness, they are all uncomfortable emotions yet as much a part of everyone's existence as everything else, can't avoid 'em so might as well accept 'em! xxxx
I clicked on your link because you looked so darned happy! Loved reading your posts and I love how you accessorize. I do tend to dress minimally and am starting to accessorize. It's so much fun to see how others do accessorize a minimal outfit though and I adore seeing your bold character come through in your outfits. What fun!!!
