My Vintage Hat

This may be one of my top 10 favorite Vintage accessories I own. I bought it years ago. I just knew it was beautiful and I had to have it. It wasn't expensive or anything, but was in primo-perfect condition. It's felt with a gold threaded ribbon on it. Maybe the 50's or even 40's ? I hardly ever wore it in fear of ruining it, but the blog-o-sphere and maturity have enlightened me to wearing stuff now. Not saving things I love or hoarding them for a "special" day. Today is as special as it gets ;)

AND, after ducking and dodging - Hitting and missing, running -all -over -the -back -yard -like -a -lunatic photo session, I am FOR SURE, taking the plunge and getting a remote for my camera. I asked the sales guy which one to get. Then, got wise, and asked someone who's photos are really neat what she uses (Duh ;) ~ Why didn't I just do that earlier ? ~ The sales guy won't be getting a giant commission from me after all :)

GREAT CLOGS !!!

Thanks, Gina !!! These beauties arrived on my door step this week. They were from Gina, of Clothes, inter alia., who didn't wear them. What a sweet, terrific thing to do! She rocks!!! I threw them on immediately and wore them . Twice ! They are super comfy and I didn't wobble a bit! However, the outfit photos I took in them were pretty bad. I am having blow-out issues. I've read the manual over again, which I missed the part about NOT pointing it toward the sun, which I don't remember doing, Hmmm....... So, I re-set all my personal settings last night. Here's hoping! So imagine lovely shots...............................

I grabbed this skirt after I got the shoes, but still had on a gray T, so imagine a light blue denim jacket or T.

The next outfit was a cotton Maxi dress from Targei' and a denim jacket. Blow-out, Again !!!

ANTM was coming on, so I had to dash! After mucho editing , here's the best I could do!

The shoes came out perfectly !

I tried to get artsy to show that the dress is actually plaid.

Ooops! No shoes!

Mama told me there'd be days like these !

The End-All , Be-All Dress !

My posts have no rhyme or reason. I am always a day or two behind, My style changes with my moods - like a box of chocolates, You never know what you're gonna get. I am still posting my Homeward Bound outfits and am already tired of them, but bear with me. My head is still swimming from all the inspirations I saw this weekend, all the cool commentaries I read , especially about blogger jealousy and self-image stuff. It's a whirl wind ride , this land of Blogdonia !

I got this dress from Targei' a few weeks ago and got it discounted another 10% past the 50% off due to a small tear that was mendable - Always ask! It has never failed me yet ! I thought this was the End -All , Be - All Dress of my dreams, only to find it isn't all that flattering. I love the print and the Flowy-ness of it , but it kinda hangs funny. Oh well, that's what I get for breaking my No Spendy rule so early !
