I USED SHEARS. QUICKER. EASIER. WILL FRAY A BIT.

ADD A BIG BELT!  DONE!

I MAY STITCH THE TOP GATHERS TOGETHER TO CREATE A WAIST LINE.

THEN IT WILL BE MORE STRUCTURED.

MORE WILL BE REVEALED!

I AM TRYING TO LEARN TO SEW, BUT IN A "LAZY"-NO-MACHINE WAY. I LOVE THIS ROMANTIC FLORAL FABRIC, AND WANTED TO CREATE SOMETHING A BIT UNUSUAL.

I WILL BE USING MY MACHINE AS SOON AS I GET UP THE GUTS! (AS LONG AS MY HUSBAND WILL THREAD IT FOR ME! (STUPID BOBBINS). STRAWBERRY KITTEN HAS GIVEN ME THE INSPIRATION TO START SEWING, AS SHE MAKES THE MOST AWESOME SKIRTS!

I TOOK OFF ON MANY TRENDS THAT I'M SEEING AND LIKING RIGHT NOW--THE COLORED TIGHTS--THE WHITE SKIRTS AND DRESSES BEING WINTERIZED--MIXING PATTERNS-(MY BLOUSE HAS A SMALL BLUE STRIPE)--AND THE DOUBLE STRAPPED MARY JANES. BUT THIS ONE IS ALL ABOUT THE BOW!

While down with a flu-bug, I took 2 strips of printed floral cotton (thanks mom!) and stitched them together-though you could skip the stitching, but i wanted this one to look finished. i can wear it as a belt over tops, a belt with jeans or a neck tie. Cost: free! A TIP: many fabric stores have left-over small pieces of fabrics for pennies!

(I ALSO HAVE A NAVY BOW HEADBAND ON,-cost-$1.50-Walgreens- BUT GOT LOST IN THE PHOTOS-and simple pearl drop earrings)

LONG BLACK SKIRTS/MOD HOSTESS

There's nothing more comfy than a long, full skirt with leggings underneath. I wear footless ones for comfort as I can put on my cute slippers, socks, or flats. *TIP: It's easier to cross your legs without feet in your leggings! I add a scarf for pop or dangling earrings. Remember to take off scarf before cooking, an I always put my hair up to keep unwanted guests in the stuffing!
