Inspiration Alert: Tied in Knots

Inspiration alert!

When I saw this look, I had to try it asap. I didn't get the name of the original post(er?), so if it's you-please let me know ;) Basically you take a full,round skirt, grab the sides and knot! Wa-la, a new skirt! It can be knotted on the side,middle or even the back for a bit of walk-by drama... Oh how I do love my knots!   ...Hugs,  Reva

Feathers, Turbans and Knots Oh My !

This year definitely seems to be the year of the maxi dress, skirt and ultra long, wide leg pants. Since I have always had a closet full of long skirts, i am really enjoying trying new, fun ways to wear them.
One of my favorites and easiest ways to freshen up an old gypsy skirt is to knot it. Even double knots are fun. I am in the process of chopping some bohemian cotton ones to be short in the front and long in the back, thus making fun shoes or boots seen and not just heard :)
I still need to learn to measure twice, cut once ;)

And don't get me started on the turbans and scarves and feathers...

TO HELP US SEE THAT WE ARE BEAUTIFUL AND THAT OUR SO-CALLED "FLAWS" ARE WHAT MAKE US UNIQUE. THE SCARS FROM AN ACCIDENT YOU SURVIVED. THE STRETCH-MARKS YOU BEAR PROUDLY AS YOU HOLD YOUR CHILD IN YOUR ARMS, THE LINES IN YOUR FACE THAT REMIND YOU HOW MUCH YOU'VE LAUGHED... THE THAT KIND OF STUFF....
