You Knew I'd Have to Try It.....

Happy Monday everybody!

Yep, I had to try this one out...

I really liked the concept and imagination behind the 'shirt-as-a-skirt' trend. Though it's not a Super Thought Involved Eureka kind of thing - 

pop on some jeans, open it up and wa-la, you've got grunge.

However, with that said, I like how it really does fit exactly like a skirt and the poofy sides look like pockets! I bet if you pinned it just right, pockets could happen... I tried really hard to make a bow with the sleeves, but I believe I'll need a super-long sleeved shirt for that... Plus a floral pattern would be nice for Spring!

I haven't forgotten about my animal print quest, however. 

More will be revealed!

OH! The dumbest thing I said last week was:

That I had been blogging for 3 years.

Well, ya don't count the year you started (as the hubs pointed out later), 

so I have been blogging for 2 years instead...

DUH !!!

( Nope, with age does not come wisdom... )

Though, I suddenly feel much younger. Hmm...

Bad Ass Florals and Wool

Hi everybody!
   How are you? I am fine, thanks. Sometimes do you blank out out a lead-in? 
Do people really want a list of my weekly to-do's, a description of the outfit, 
which is what the photos are for? Maybe a witty quote or some prose, perhaps...
( That is sometimes how my mind works )
Anyhoo- I got nuthin', except....
   I really flippin love this outfit. I have had it on a hanger for weeks awaiting a true Autumn moment to wear this light and possibly vintage wool vest. I thrifted the dress and vest on the same day, but the vintage scarf seemed to be the one little thing it was looking for. This is one of those "So Me" outfits that make me take frowny pictures. That's when you know I feel bad-ass. Kind of a come mess with me look. Me and my super-outfit will kick your ass... Even my flowers are bad.

Swish! Take that! And that!

And does anyone else really believe Rachel Zoe is preggers?

( I think she's a big faker, and is really buying a baby...)

Howling at the Moon

I wish I could tell other's  my feelings as well as Jack London did in Call of the Wild. Though this is a Style blog, sometimes I need to just let go. It's not my "Style" to hold things back. It is my style to admit when I've had a tough week, and my style to bounce back through letting others know what's going on. So, there, I said it. A tough week for no particular reason. Though sometimes I believe I allow myself to live in a state of dread over simple, silly stuff that hasn't even transpired . And never happens the way I think it will anyway ;) Sometimes women take on a lot. More than we really should. Then it bubbles up inside, and rather than flogging someone else, we flog ourselves. We smile and pretend that everything is fine. So, yesterday, I cried until my eyes were swollen. It felt great ! I actually feel so much better since the brain colonic :) So tonight I had a super-sized cappucino , did some night dancing and howled at the moon. I probably will be up all night, but who cares ? Tomorrow will take care of itself, as it always does :)

This is me. Right now. Kinda ;) And the lightening photos I popped off the other day during a heat-lightning drive by. It only took 500+ takes to get 3 pops, but they were awesome !

Last night, after a day of a quickie thrift stop, I found the coolest Vintage sunglasses. I hardly ever look as they are usually dismal at best. But, I found myself eying a pair and lo and behold, there was a pair of Liz Claiborne's AND Anne Klein !!! (The way to tell if they are truly vintage is the size is usually much smaller (shorter) and the tips are bigger. Plus, they are heavier and usually much better made.) Score ! But when I got home, one pair was not in the bag. I poked around outside the car in the dark to no avail. Oh well. So I went to sleep with sunnies dancing around my dreams. Now, usually Bitty-Bitty, my 18 yr. old house cat, gets me up at least 6 or so times a night to be fed and petted. She's like an infant. But, I slept like a baby. When I awoke, I stood straight up in bed with a weird sense of dread. She hadn't cried all night. I searched the house from top to bottom and back again. Panic attack !!! No Boo ! I went outside and called her. No Boo. I was then really freaking. I called loudly. Did you hear me, too ??? I heard a faint wail. She had skipped out the door when I wasn't looking. She spent an entire 11 hours outside with the deer, possums, raccoons, dogs, and other kitties (who like to beat up other kitties) and the other night-time creepy crawlies. All night! She was wet, soggy, and so happy to see me :) I felt so bad ! She slept all the rest of the day, not even getting up to eat. I felt so bad !!! I think she forgave me after a pet job and purr session. Maybe I should buy her a new toy? Maybe that cell phone she's been wanting ???

Poor Bitty ! I feel soooo bad !

I even made posters ;) Kidding !

After the "Kitty Freak Out" I found the sunnies. Next time I'll look during daylight ;)

House, Sweet House :)

This time last August, I wore this dress like this ! I see the evolution. Do you ?  Plus, I only posted one photo! I soon stretched my blog and the old posts look so funny :)  I was posting on Weardrobe, but didn't start my official blog until October. My first comment was from Marie, of TheJoyof Fashion. My first blog buddy and someone who encouraged me to continue blogging as I was ready to give it up. Thanks, Marie ! I will never forget the uplifting comments and support you have given me :)
