My Favorite Things .... Too Cool For School Jackets

HI EVERYBODY !
AND A BIG HI TO MY NEW FRIENDS.....
I just found some cool new stylish and funny as hell bloggers !
I love it when that happens....
Feeling so Inspired :)

THIS WEEK I AM SHOWING OFF A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS.
YOU PROBABLY KNOW HOW MUCH I LOVE HATS, BUT I HAVE A SECRET... WELL NOT REALLY A SECRET, BUT MORE OF AN ILLNESS - ok, perhaps a fetish ?  I HAVE A STRANGE DESIRE THAT DRAWS ME TO ODD JACKETS. NOT THE TRENDY, COOL ONES, BUT THE ONES THAT HAVE BIG FLORAL PATTERNS, SOMETIMES QUILTED AND USUALLY , NO DEFINITELY, ONE OF A KINDS. PROBABLY BECAUSE EVERYONE ELSE WHO OWNED THE SAME JACKET THREW IT IN THE DUMPSTER MANY MOONS AGO, USES THEM AS CAT BEDS,
( or gave them away for me to find ) ... YOU KNOW, CHURCH LADY JACKETS

THEY CAN BE VERY CHALLENGING, BUT I'VE FOUND THEY ALWAYS GO WITH
BLACK BASICS OR JEANS AND A WHITE TEE.
ALSO PAIRING THEM UP WITH A SUBTLE MIS-MATCHED SCARF
around the neck or as a belt, LOOKS GREAT AS WELL. ( A FUNKY HAT ALWAYS WORKS, TOO ;)
ABOVE IS MY LATEST FAVORITE AND IT'S EVEN REVERSIBLE ;)

my too-cool-for-school poses ...
by the by, my all-time favorite boots, too !
thanks, honey ;)
I feel so strange not smiling ...
ahhh, better :)
WHAT ARE YOU DRAWN TO ???
ATTIRE:
CHURCH LADY REFERENCE; SNL - JACKET: GOODWILL
SKIRT/ TURTLE-NECK: SEARS, VERY CHEAP(when i worked there)
BOOTS: BANANA REPUBLIC, GIFT FROM HUBS
HAT: VINTAGE, ANTIQUE MALL - PENDANT: WORLD MKT.
GLASSES: MINE, OLD AND NEAR-SIGHTED.

Those boots are awesome. I love the jacket. I'm really drawn to crazy outfits, and patterns. It's like they whisper my name at the thrift store.

I love the jacket! Church lady or posh WI member who likes her art and tea? Either way it's brilliant on you and is transformed from frumpy to fab.
Hope you get your blogging mojo back soon. It's hard after a break and with things on your mind. xxx

Your jacket needs no adjetives. It has a voice in itself and I love it. I am always drawn to skirts. Love them all.

The jackets work on you, sister. You rock them. I could never pull them off. I'm a solid neutral-colored chick, myself.

I love your jacket!! :) I have a soft spot for crazy patterned or colorful jackets as well. Back when I had money (haha) I started collecting vintage Etro jackets. I have three now. They're my babies!

I hope you're having a lovely week! xoxo

I'm drawn to funky jackets too. This one is quilted? I'd probably wear this to school. :)

FABULOUS boots. and I think that jacket is amazing! You can rock a jacket and a too cool for school pose.

I'm addicted to white shirts. All kinds. I know y'all don't really see me wearing them much, but I do love them. And sequins. LOVE sequins!

Reva, I don't know how you do it, but on you everything looks cool, including Church Lady jackets. I used to be drawn to crazy-looking socks, but I am trying to break that addiction because everything on me does NOT look cool.

that jacket is amazing! oh man, I can't believe I'm admitting this... but I love crazy socks. Like- annoyingly crazy socks. The kind that are way too bright and flashy. I should probably own it and stop hiding my awesome collection

And this hat really fits you!.

None of the church ladies I've ever encountered looked as cool as you. I love jackets too, and I couldn't resist such a classic pattern and color combo either, excellent find indeed. Way to pull it all together in a beautiful composition.

I am also drawn to those jackets - the sparklier the better. I also can't resist a skirt in a funky pattern.
