BATWINGS AND SUSPENDERS

I LIKE HAPPY ACCIDENTS !
THIS OUTFIT WAS ONE OF THOSE THAT KIND OF FALLS TOGETHER FROM A BUNCH OF DIFFERENT IDEAS. THIS BLACK SKIRT ( Miley-Max, $3.00 ) WAS MY LAST WEEK'S BLACK FRIDAY MISSED POST ( including the suspenders ) AND THE SWEATER WAS A DIY PROJECT ( I sewed some old buttons onto a F21 cashmere bat-wing sweater I got this past spring for $6.99 )....
A FEW NEUTRAL ACCESSORIES, A PUNCH OF PINK ( to play off the big button ) ~
and SHA-BOOM, " TINY TIM MEETS LAYERS " ;)
I'D HAVE NEVER THOUGHT A TUCKED BAT-WING WOULD TURN OUT SO WELL , BUT I LIKE IT !
THE EXTREME TEMPS ARE HOLDING STEADY ( AROUND 20 DEGREES ) AND AFTER A TRIP TO TARGEI' LAST NIGHT, I WANTED ONE OF EVERYTHING ;)
I DID GET A FEW GOODIES FOR MYSELF ( Shhhh......)  You'd have gotten them, too ;)
Grand-Pa kept me warm.

attire: Skirt: the W-place ~ Sweater: F 21 ~ Scarf: Dot's.
           Over-Knee-Sox: Target ~ Pink tights: Sears~ Tan Sox: Walgreen's, men's.
           Grand pa sweater/ Booties/ Suspenders/ Hat: thrifted.

I LOVE it - batwings, ankle boots, newsboy cap, suspenders and 'badges' - it's Pretty in Pink meets Breakfast Club meets Me in 1984! Love the colour combo too. Super cute! Sarah xxx

Hi Reva, I love the whole outfit. I especially love the batwing sweater with the buttons sewn on and the suspenders! I tried on a batwing blouse for the first time ever yesterday, I loved it, because it was flattering to my upper body, but I got the Christmas guilts and walked away from it. Never one to stay guilty for long I'm going back for it tomorrow.

Eeeps! This has got to be one of my favorite outfits ever of yours! You're right: everything just fell perfectly into place...

You def. have my heart with the suspenders... It reminds me that I have to dig my own out of the depths of my closet and style them up sometime. Oh, and your sweater with the DIY buttons? You are a genius, Reva!

P.S. I didn't know you had joined Chictopia! Welcome my friend :)
