While on my Homeward Bound trip I made the plunge to try a floral legging . It was really an accident . First I had bought a pair of pinkish short booties from Penny's for under 26 dollars, which were originally 85 , but the guilt of buying what I felt was an extravagant purchase for boots I might wear or not , I took them back. As my Mom and I were walking to Pier One ( in the big city of Evansville, IN ) I saw a Rue 21 and was gonna buy a striped T instead , but saw these leggings on sale for $5 , and I was sold. I also bought another pair, 2 skirts, and the Topper , a Faux Fur Vest for $2.00 ! The total was a little more than the boots and I felt I had gotten my money's worth !
My accessories were limited , but paired them with a skirt and cardi and layers of T's.
I added a cameo and belt. Since it was soggy, my brown clunking around oxfords had to do.
I found a pair of cheap Wayfarer shades at the local Dollar store for 6 bucks.
The leggings seem a bit loose in the leg, but they are cotton instead of lycra, thus better for warm weather.
March was definitely coming in like a lion with lots of wind and cloudy skies. The sun peeked in a few afternoons and suddenly it felt tropical ! Here are a few shots of the beautiful area that is Western KY.
