Corporate Hippie

Hi everyone!
This dress came all the way from across the US-
Around 2000 miles....
My hubs bought it for me on our honeymoon in San Diego. I'd never get rid of it. He too has a small pile in his closet that will never go as well. His are daisy dukes from the late 70's and shrunken vintage concert tees, even a Bob Dylan. I've already ready raided his Cowboy Junkies. Time for Dylan, maybe?
I feel so grown up when I don a jacket...
I think everything can be brought up-to-date with a fitted jacket, cinched belt and shooties. Double up on the skirts, grab a tiny floral bag and wa-la! Shiny, new dress! (PS- I think Kasmira coined the word shootie for a shoe bootie!)

Now,
This little bag will only
hold my essentials:
1) license / credit cards
2) 2 lip sticks
3) ciggys/lighter
4) remote/lens cap (I loose then alot)
5) keys
which usually makes me a double bagger
(I put this cutie in my huge satchel-
I usually look like a shoplifter)

Hippie Hugs!
xXx

I'm pretty sure I copied "shootie" (and "shabootie") from someone else. But it IS so descriptive, isn't it?

Love all the pink!

Aww, I love how you save your sentimental (and awesomely pretty) dresses. Love your shooties too! xoxoxoxo

I kept the dress I got married in even though it will probably never fit again. I even have a couple of dresses from high school. I get them out every once in a while and just look at them and remember how I "thought" I was fat when I wore them. Ha!
You look lovely in these muted colors.

Brilliant, playful and romantic look! I also feel a jacket and cinched belt can really add a pinch of modern to a look! Love your hat very much.

The purse works so well with the outfit. Middle daughter bought a pair of the SAME shooties!
