HI EVERYBODY !
THIS MAY BE THE EASIEST, FUNNEST WAY
TO POP A LITTLE COLOR ONTO YOUR PLAIN OLD TEE'S EVER !
WHAT YOU'LL NEED :
- ALCOHOL ( 70%) FOUND UNDER YOUR SINK
- A BUNCH OF SHARPIES
- A RUBBER BAND
- A MEDICINE DROPPED OR STRAW
- A WHITE TEE ( PRE-WASHED )
- A PLASTIC CUP AND A BOX ( OR FRAME TO LET DRY )
- A SMALL DISH TO POUR ALCOHOL INTO ( I USED THE LID )
- PAPER TOWELS FOR OOPSIES
- A WELL VENTILATED AREA ( I JUST CRACKED A WINDOW )
1. PLACE A SPOT OF THE TEE OVER THE CUP
AND PUT RUBBER BAND AROUND IT.
2. DUMP SOME ALCOHOL INTO LID (OR SMALL CONTAINER)
3. DRAW SOME DESIGNS OR JUST DOTS/SQUIGGLES ON AREA WITH SHARPIE.
4. PULL UP ALCOHOL AND DRIP ONTO SHARPIED 'DESIGN'.
WATCH THE COLORS BLEED TOGETHER !
5. ALLOW EACH SPOT TO DRY FOR ABOUT 5 MINUTES.
THOUGH AFTER A WHILE, I GOT IMPATIENT AND MOVED ON WHILE DAMP.
THE MORE ALCOHOL YOU USE, THE MORE SPREADING
AND THE LIGHTER THE COLORS WILL BE.
EVEN AFTER IT DRIES, YOU CAN ADD MORE COLOR OR ALCOHOL.
I'D RECOMMEND WASHING IN COLD AND AIR DRYING,
AS THE DRYER CAUSES FADING.
LASTLY, AFTER IT IS TOTALLY DRY,
HEAT SET WITH AN IRON, (ABOUT 24 HRS.)
AS ALCOHOL IS VERY FLAMMABLE ...
COOL, HUH ?
I KEPT ADDING MORE ALCOHOL TO THE EDGES AND GOT A FEATHER EFFECT. Hmmmm......
TIME TO LET YOUR IMAGINATION SOAR !
Bitty-Bitty seemed to like it...
but, she likes bleach smells, too ;)
