IT'S ALIVE !!!
OFF THE SOFA FOR ME TODAY :) ....... I THINK THESE LEGGINGS WOULD STAND UP ALL BY THEMSELVES RIGHT NOW. YEP, I WORE THEM SINCE SUNDAY ( ON AND OFF )
THEY DON'T HAVE ANY STRETCH LEFT ;) AND TO TERRI ~ (I'LL BE E-MAILING YA SOON).
I SEEM TO BE IN A NEUTRAL'S MODE AS OF LATE. ( MAYBE IT'S THE FEVER ? )
THIS THRIFTED MOSSIMO SKIRT WAS ANOTHER THRIFT-STORE STEAL. MANY PEOPLE DON'T BUY 'TRENDS' AT THRIFT STORES, BUT OUR GOODWILL GETS ALL OF TARGET'S PAST SEASON STUFF, AS IN THE LIBERTY OF LONDON DRESS FROM MY LAST POST, SO ON 1/2 PRICE DAY , 2 BUCKS IS WORTH A MOSSIMO SKIRT ;) - PLUS IT HAS A SHAPE AND STYLE THAT WILL ENDURE MANY WEARINGS. ( No pockets, but lots o' buttons :) , a great layering piece .....
WEARING MY COWBOY HAT MADE ME FEEL BETTER, TOO ;)
PONDERING :
I HAVE BEEN DOING A SHOOT FEATURING MYSELF IN THE "REAL" AND AM A BIT NERVOUS ABOUT POSTING THE IMAGES, BUT I LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY SO MUCH AND THE GRAINY, WRINKLED BODY IS SOMETHING I HAVE WANTED TO SHOOT FOR A WHILE. HOWEVER, THERE AREN'T MANY "TAKERS" WHEN IT COMES TO SHOWING WRINKLES, SUNSPOTS, OR SAGGINESS. ( I GET IT- I HAVE EVEN HAD 'GLAMOUR SHOTS' DONE AS WELL ;) - SO I VOLUNTEERED MYSELF FOR THE JOB. IT WASN'T EASY, AND THEY COULD HAVE BEEN MUCH BETTER WITH A REAL MODEL, BUT I MAY BE POSTING THEM SOON. WHAT DO YA THINK? WOULD YOU WANT TO SEE A REAL WOMAN, AGE 46, SHOWING HERSELF AS SHE LOOKS EVERY MORNING WHEN SHE PEEKS INTO THE MIRROR ( AND GASPS TO THINK THAT THAT WOMAN REALLY IS ME ...) WITHOUT FLAGGING HER AS OFFENSIVE TO THE BLOGGER POLICE ?
( Remember, I do still have a fever ..... ;)

There is nothing neutral about you, LADY!
I hope you are feeling better. I'm on shutdown and it's not even snowy in my neck in the woods. Hang in there sweetie.
Let's talk real. How real? Naked?
Bring on the real woman, Reva...she shows up at my house several times a day! This outfit is so fun...would you let me post it on my site in February! I plan to do something around the time of the San Antonio Stock Show & Rodeo which comes every year!
I agree with the past two girls,
There's nothing wrong with being real.
And feel better soon Reva!!

Oh I love this look!! I'm so happy I found your blog, I remember about this time last year I started posting on Weardrobe and you were one of the first to comment to me and one of the first I started watching! It's so great to "see" you :)

Reva! First...the outfit: I don't know how you do it; but you make "over the top" look almost elegant. My bohemian bows to your bohemian! Second: I think that would be a GREAT feature. Bloggers sans makeup. I'd do it! I'd have to swallow hard and get up some nerve; but hey....for the sake of genuine (not scripted) reality, I'm all in! I like it! I like it! ~Serene
Reva--I look forward to the e-mail. And by all means, include the photos. You won't lose any of the elders. In fact, I'd give you props for doing it.
Years ago, I saw a photo essay in Sun magazine of women of all ages who had undergone a mastectomy--beautiful and memorable.
first, great outfit and wonderful skirt - great score! but as much as i love your outfit, i love the phrase 'neutral cowgirl' even more - it's such a oxymoron (but then again, maybe not...) that it cracks me up!!
i think those photos would be great. and timely for me - i've been getting a similar urge to just show up nude, warts and all, on my site. just for the honesty of it. nothing graphic or too in your face, but some of the varicose veins, wrinkles, and what not... i have posted some less-flattering & humdrum pics of myself already, & i'm glad that i did. it's some balance.
* of course * my mom's head would just implode, so don't expect to see anything soon ; ) i sure hope you feel better, hon - at least you look fabulous!! take care, steph
Jealous of your hat!
I can't find a cowboy hat that fits my head for a reasonable amount of money
Maybe I will find one when I go to Nashville this summer.
