Crimson and Roses

 Hi everybody!

Hope you all had a great long weekend :) We didn't do much, 

but did really dig the cool summer air blowing through the curtains at night. 

Also, my one and only rosebush is in full bloom! YaY! 

Most women my age wouldn't see that as a huge venture that involves bragging rites, but I (or should I say, our rocky-ass yard) cannot grow the average flowering plant. Of any sort...

 So, in honor of the crimson roses that are making my front yard a bit less drab -The ones making us not "Those Neighbors" who grow dandelions for sport, I am wearing a thrifted deep red Liz Claiborne dress. I LOVE the drop waist and I cut out that stifling attached slip to make it properly sheer... It could be really pimped out with a belt, baubles, vests, etc...,But it seemed to lay better sans tons of accessories. Just a wisp of red silk. Monochromatic. 

If you don't count 2 scarves;)

This dress will definitely see some action this fall!

I think I had some really cool stuff to say, but Blogger had other ideas and wiped out my entire post.

The Blues

Yep, I'm feeling kinda blue. We got to keep the kitty til Sunday night. One more day for me to grow in love . Oh well, he's so much better off with 2 loving parents who can let him run free and not live in a garage.

This outfit is a *trendy dress ( if you are cool enough to pull it off w/o leg cover ). I paired it with leggings. I like the subtle floral print on the cream cotton. I actually waited this one out for cooler weather to add a big scarf and my thrifted wool hat ;) So this is a keeper, a layerer, and a quickie errand tunic/dress.

So, this one I am gonna get my money's worth, especially at $5 bucks, Hat: 2, Scarf: 10(ish), leggings,7, Clogs: 2. Various bracelets and watch , not sure, but definitely on clearance. The Vintage silver/floral china, ?

My latest fashion statement: a band-aid. He got me good.

I added some more blue in my bracelets and tried to invent "Paradoxal" by Chanel. A bit purpler ;)
And added my blue cameo, a gift from Hubby .

It looks so Autumnal here , but is actually very dry. We are in a full-blown drought !

Isn't he so cute :) A butterfly was following him around the day we found him for god's sake !
