A Post Full!

Hi everybody!
What a weekend :)
So many things went on, from wearing my 'preggers' dress in a more successful way, to some action packed roller derby. It rocks, by the way! I finished off the weekend packing up all my stuff to get ready to leave and help my Parents this week.
First the dress:
I bought several different knit styles to wear during my weight fluctuation, as in upwards. I looked pregnant, and no, noone asked since I look a tad too old to be preggers. But, I did get a few double takes for sure.  I tried the belting method, which only emphasized my belly and boobs. I tried just adding the 'magic' scarf. Nope. They went into the back of the pile-o-clothes. As many top-heavy women who don't have a defined waist, I am finally learning that sometimes what would seem to work just doesn't. All the pro's would choose this style, or a belted waist when I entered in my body profile. I learned that if I don't want to look, uh...with child, I avoid the empire look until I'm having a flat belly day. This was the day. A tad Halloweeny, but hey, it finally got to peek out of the closet!

Added an ear clip that I nabbed for a buck from JCPenney.

The new kitty relationship, no words necessary...
Yes, it's true love.

Then....
The Roller Derby!

My Favorite 'Jammer' K Lethal with the hubs. Isn't she so pretty and strong! There was an eclectic crowd of fun people and I liked that. Plus, to see powerful women having a blast and kicking some butt on roller skates and lipstick mixed with fishnet - well, what's not to like?
Fashion action!
The Black Sheep is jamming. More to be revealed at a later date about the Roller Derby ;)
I still have tons of shots and a special feature surprise lined up for you guys very soon!

All in all, a fab weekend...
(I had to post this photo. my new fave.)

And last but not least, This short video. I saved it for last because it is so worth the look~

DIY Weekend / Let's do some Shredding!

Hi All !
What a great weekend!!!
I've been up to no good. Well, not really, unless you think shredding tee shirts for days,
gently knotting them together while watching hours of 'The Americans'
is not a good way to spend one's time. I suppose it's all in your perspective.
I think of it as either meditation, or creative nonsense... I'll let you decide for yourself ;)
the inspiration from a Piperlime ad...
Sweater: Sears // Dress: Newport News // Boots: Old Navy, thrifted // Sunnies, trend shop
This is how it looked before all the twirling ;)
Diy instructions:
Don't try to be perfect, the messier the better!
Cut thin, long strips - pull tight to make the sides look 'rolled' - cut, knot - tie, tie, and tie.
Enjoy!
I'm off to see The Cincinnati Rollergirls tonight. I'll be seeing some real shredding.
My latest obsession, Roller Derby!
More will be revealed...
Have a rockin weekend ;)

Outfit Post: Cropped Vintage Jacket Addiction

Hi everyone!
I am writing this with a very sleepy head right now. I spent a lot of time today enjoying the sweet lower temps that showed up here in Cincy. I snagged this vintage cropped jacket a few months ago with definite plans on how to wear it. It must have a flowy top underneath. I was patient and did wait, until  I remembered this top I'd purchased from Dot's last fall! It was buried, of course... Which reminds me, I have some cool summer floral pants that I am gonna sell very soon. Stay tuned - they will be cheap!
This is my second cropped vintage jacket.
I feel a trend coming on.
I really like how this outfit turned out!
Cropped over long: The Perfect Combo...
Jacket: Salvation Army // Bag,brooches,scarf: thrifted //Shoes,Top: Dot's // Leggings: Newport News,clx.
Yes, I was in photo overload.
Some days you'll just have to have that....
Have a kick-ass weekend!

Hi Everybody!
OK, most of you know that I've had some - shall we say - Problems?
with my Blog Comments.
Well, after exactly 6 days and a bunch of support from my bestest blog buddies, my precious hubby, and an unknown stranger (you know who you are :),
the problem has been RESOLVED!
It took me to a very dark place. I know, it's not the end of the world to lose contact with the people you have built a community with for almost 4 years... Oh, wait, Hell Yes it was!
With all the other 'stuff' going on in my little corner of the globe,
this was the nail on the coffin of my sanity.
If anyone has had this problem with their blog comments,
pop me a line and I'll tell you what happened in detail....
I must thank my best blog buddy ever for her help.
And to everyone who has joined my new fan page.
Keep on coming, it's still there and growing ;) But, enough about me...
 Outfit posts to resume ASAP!
And, would ya please leave a comment? I've missed them so....
Super Big Hugs!
