Long Flowy Things Make Me Feel Better!

Hi everyone!
This week has been a blur. I've been a little out-of-it. Still very tired from the Emergency room fiasco.
I'm also running way behind catching up with my blog buds! Sorry :)  Getting dressed 3 times this week did not lend inspiration for any great, triumphant posts for me. I did, however, peek in a wee bit on you and you all are rockin'!
On another note, I've been having an outfit block this week. I have gathered some great summer jackets, shorts, dresses and fun accessories that would be very trendy right now. A Shorts Suit - a skinny floral pant outfit, but when I put them on, I feel disingenuous. Sort of a cookie cutter feeling. Does that ever happen to you? So, after several layers of dresses on the floor, I just give up and kaboom, I find an outfit that feels right. Maybe not the "it girl" outfit, but the "I like me" outfit :) This is such... I'd have never put this tank with this skirt until I added the sweater. Then, It was a nice super-casual me look. Plus, today it was very cool (sweater-ish weather!), instead of the record breaking 86+ just 2 days ago. As the summer progresses, you will get to see the elaborate ways I will attempt to camouflage my upper arms and boobs... Or, who knows? I may just exercise!....Nah...
I was told many years ago, that as you get older,
how you feel is more important than how you look...
I say, we can have both!
(Generally...;)
 Booties,TJ Maxx // Skirt,Hat,Tank, Thrifted // Sweater,Sears,Clx // Sunnies,Grocery store
 See you soon and....
Have a terrific Holiday weekend!
Your ever photo heavy pal,
Reva

Think I deleted my comment.

What I was coming to say was: You came have both. Putting on a nice outfit, doing your hair and make up is an instant mood lifter.

Like your outfit

Pam,
I have a walk-in,3 doubles,1 single, tons of underbed boxes and a pile on the bed in the guest room.
Hoarders anyone?

Reva....the sweater and skirt are really lovely and fun. I like flowy pieces too but they just don't look great on me. Looks perfect on you. I like how you mixed the flowy pieces witht he tank and black belt.

When I seen long and flowy I was thinking long tops and then I saw the pic of your skirt and I thought - yes that is definitely flowing - you can feel the spring freshness. Cx

I'm with you on the long-and-flowy. I feel like I can really breathe and move, if I can avoid stepping on them. And PLEASE don't worry about your upper arms. Ain't nobody got time for dat these days!

What happened in the emergency room? Did I miss something?

Listen Reva- you don't need to follow trends- your style is amazing and so original- people should be following you. I know how good you look dressing up in "blogger outfits," but my personal faves are the ones like what you are wearing- so gorgeous and so unique and awesome. You are best at being you. And seriously can throw down some of the best personal style anywhere.

You've made creamy neutral shades look awesome, Reva, and that's some achievement in my book! The vest top, belt and boots rock up the flowiness, and I think you look really great! xxxx

Beautiful x-ray ;-) yes flowy flowy flowy. We loved it when we were little kids. Now we love it when we're big kids. It's only those clueless in-between years that we foolishly squish ourselves into clothes.

I'm having outfit block, too ... a little different in character and origin, but I'm feeling like I'm in a bit of a rut, waiting for the real, most miserable part of summer. Sort of like waiting for a spanking to happen when I was a kid!
You look lovely, however in your very pretty skirt and summery tops... it's very flattering, and there must be a bazillion ways to wear it!
Have a great week,
Jan
