MY FAVORITE HIPPIE DRESS

HI EVERYBODY !!!

THANKS TO FRIEND FRIDAY ( In which the questions surround body image ), AND MY SUPER FRIEND, the inspiring BELLA Q, AKA THE CITIZEN ROSEBUD, ( though she would dislike the image overload ;) BUT IN MY DEFENSE, THE GLORY OF THIS HIPPY DRESS DESERVES A BUNCH OF PHOTOS :) I WAS INSPIRED TO PICK UP MY CAMERA, DON ONE OF MY FAVORITE DRESSES AND GET MOTIVATED TO POP OFF SOME SHOTS AND PRACTICE TAKING SOME PORTRAIT SHOTS, ( which I'm finding out my 55mm lens is better for portrait shots than full-body ). THESE SHOTS ARE USUALLY WAIST TO TOP OF HEAD (ish) AND ABOUT 3-4 FT. AWAY...  I AM FINDING THAT USUALLY MEANS THE BEST IMAGES ARE EITHER WITHOUT MY LOWER LEGS OR MY HEAD ...
Dear Santa .......

ON BODY IMAGE : I USED TO ALWAYS ERASE "THE SNAKE"
( the super-enlarged vein on my leg ) LAST YEAR,
BUT AS I AM STILL WAITING FOR THE OK TO GET IT "TAKEN CARE OF",
I AM GONNA STOP OMITTING IT. I EARNED IT, BY GOSH !!!
MAYBE I NEED TO START A WOMEN'S HEALTH POST ;) - I also used to crop out my cigarette ;)

IT'S FUNNY, BUT WHEN I WAS NOT MUCH YOUNGER THAN I AM NOW, I NEVER CONSIDERED THE CONSEQUENCES OF MY EATING HABITS, SMOKING, AND SO ON. THE FIRST THING THAT REALLY PROVED TO ME I WAS AGING, WERE MY WRINKLES ( so vain! ), BUT NOW IT'S CHOLESTEROL AND TRIGLYCERIDES..... WHEN DID ALL THIS HAPPEN?
I MUST HAVE BEEN ASLEEP ....... POSSIBLY IN A SUGAR-FILLED COMA ...

I ALSO USED TO HATE THE WAY I LOOKED WHEN I SMILED. NOW, I FEEL LIKE I APPEAR SULLEN OF I DON'T SMILE :) - THE POWERS OF BLOGGING I SUPPOSE !

WELL, BEFORE I DROP OVER FROM CLOGGED, SMOKE-FILLED ARTERIES, I AM GONNA BE POSTING SOME OF MY FAVORITE PIECES THIS COMING WEEK.
I HOPE YOU ENJOY THEM AS MUCH AS I DO ....

HAVE A TERRIFIC WEEKEND ;)
xXx

I love the dress. It looks fantastic on you. I have tons of scars, and scrapes on my super pale legs. But, I'm learning not care, it's quite liberating.

I've been doing battle with the cholesterol too--niacin and red rice yeast tablets.

Beautiful hippie dress. I tend to be a sucker for dresses with embellishments in the same color.
