My Vintage Hat

This may be one of my top 10 favorite Vintage accessories I own. I bought it years ago. I just knew it was beautiful and I had to have it. It wasn't expensive or anything, but was in primo-perfect condition. It's felt with a gold threaded ribbon on it. Maybe the 50's or even 40's ? I hardly ever wore it in fear of ruining it, but the blog-o-sphere and maturity have enlightened me to wearing stuff now. Not saving things I love or hoarding them for a "special" day. Today is as special as it gets ;)

AND, after ducking and dodging - Hitting and missing, running -all -over -the -back -yard -like -a -lunatic photo session, I am FOR SURE, taking the plunge and getting a remote for my camera. I asked the sales guy which one to get. Then, got wise, and asked someone who's photos are really neat what she uses (Duh ;) ~ Why didn't I just do that earlier ?  ~ The sales guy won't be getting a giant commission from me after all :)
Thanks Shannon :)

Belt: thrifted ~ Jacket: AKleine ~ Skirt/Tank: Old.

Yay! You look gorgeous in your vintage hat - beautiful colours, they really suit you and it looks great with the denim. So good to see you wearing a piece you've loved for years - you look so happy to be wearing such a gorgeous treasure!! xoxo

Reva, I am in love with the hat and the last picture of you is gorgoeus!

I have these 2 really funky Hatian hats, wish I had the nerve to pull them off. My bedroom is really cool though, everything that expresses me that I don't have the nerve for is hanging on my terra cotta and turquoise walls.

As my 7 yr old says when she gets out of the car at school "Peace out Dude"

It's a beautiful hat!

The mental image of you running all over to get these great shots might make a cool little video!

Ah, people in hats make me smile! It's too bad most people now a days rarely wear hats... If you wear one out in public people look at you like you have two heads! Hats off to you (ha-ha!) for taking the risk! ;)

Oh, and I want to thank you so much for the lovely thrifty tips! You had some tips and tricks that I've never even logically thought of before...

Hope you had a great Tuesday!
